It’s Cruz, the junior senator from Texas, who has been making headway with religious conservatives there and who has the apparent lead for the February 1 caucuses.

Trump Retains Lead Among GOP Voters Despite Comments on Muslims
He is defending it against calls of unconstitutionality, pointing out that his proposal would apply only to non-U.S. citizens. They also largely agree with Trump that President Obama was not born in America, and many questioned whether he’s Christian.
Clinton now overtakes Trump: 49 percent vs. 38 percent. We know each other’s weak spots and which buttons to push.
Bad-boy pharma CEO Shkreli calls fraud charges ‘baseless’
Ironically, Shkreli who has been in the news mainly due to his price gouging tactics, did not get arrested due to pricing issues. Shkreli seemed calm and cheerful as he ignored or banned negative commenters and chatted with supporters.
Perhaps I am influenced by the Christmas season, but there was something genuinely appalling that candidates who so often claim to be devout Christians allocated the bulk of their time to warfare, to throwing people out of our country or to walling them off. There was nearly nothing about our obligations to millions around the world who are suffering, from the very wars the candidates were so focused on and from a depth of poverty that is hard for us in rich countries to fathom.
Panthers Still Perfect After Imperfect Win over Giants
The Panthers figure to have their way at Atlanta, assuming head coach Ron Rivera wants to keep the pedal to the metal. Eli found a revitalized Odell Beckham Jr , who seemed to find his rhythm and cool off, for a 40 yard catch and run.
Sessions, in speaking with reporters, later said he was confused why Cruz’s position had been called into question and criticized Rubio’s role. The proposal would have replaced it with one that offered those immigrants legal status within the United States.
On the one side are a majority of the candidates – represented most forcefully by Marco Rubio and, in the undercard debate, Lindsey Graham – who propose a reprise of President George W. Bush’s interventionist policies.
According to one participating evangelical leader who heads a conservative political website, Cruz stood out as one of the favorites on the survey for various reasons.
At first, Cruz tried to brush off the charge by declaring that he has always opposed amnesty. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) topped the rankings, with Sen.
Cruz also said that, if he is elected president, he will “repeal every word of Obamacare”.
It might be that both parts of that response are false. Confronted with his signature on a letter advocating legalization instead of citizenship, Cruz twisted and turned.
“The plan was they vote down any amendment, no matter what the amendment was”, Sessions said, echoing Cruz’s defense of the amendment in recent days. “Thank you for allowing me to do that”. However, he did not specifically mention LCS.
Next, is it really true that Cruz doesn’t “intend to support legalization” for the undocumented? Two months ago he gets his news from the shows.
As for front-runner Donald Trump’s proposal for a moratorium on all Muslim immigration, Rubio said, “Donald Trump had fallen out of the headlines, rightfully, because we had the largest terrorist attack in American history since 9/11”.
Go back to Cruz’s response at the debate and take note of where the Harvard Law School graduate lawyered up.
In another video, meant to show Mr Cruz’s support for guns, the candidate is seen cooking bacon by wrapping a slice around the barrel of a gun, and firing the weapon until the heat of the weapon cooks the it.
Those folks have reason for concern.

Much of the contention stems from a Fox News interview Cruz gave Wednesday night, during which Bret Baier called out the Texas Senator on his stance on immigration. If that’s true, how can his supporters be sure now that he’s not doing the same thing to them?
