Jeb Bush on Campaign Trail in SC

Republican voter David Villinger suggested to Bush that the feud with Trump was beneath the son and brother of former presidents.

The semiautomatic pistol was a gift from FN Manufacturing, a small firearms production factory in SC where Bush visited while on the campaign trail.

There was noisy enthusiasm for the former president in the crowd-of a thousand or so white-haired pensioners, servicemen with buzz-cuts and proper-looking professionals, some with children. And he was serious, also in short supply. Losing is actually one of the best things that you can do if you’re interested in proving yourself, right? He supported the first President Bush in his 1988 campaign; co-chaired the younger Bush’s state campaign in 2000; was appointed to Ottawa; and is now back home, campaigning for Jeb Bush.

Fending off attacks on George W. Bush from anti-war liberals used to be part of David Wilkins’s job description when he was US ambassador to Canada a decade ago. How about a smear campaign, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth? That was a dig at Rubio, who has held several events described as “town halls” but has not taken audience questions. They can be alternately decorous, disagreeable and aggressively distasteful.

Bush on Wednesday appeared visibly agitated with the idea that his fate had already be decided for him. Jeb has the best plans to grow our economy at full strength to help ensure that the middle class receives the first pay raise in 15 years. Donald Trump came in second with 24 percent, followed by John Kasich with 19 percent.

ProPublica has been compiling data on Right to Rise’s spending, and, as the outlet’s Derek Willis noted on Twitter, only a tiny fraction of that has been spent in direct opposition to Trump.

Bush’s family name was always sure to pose complications; the surprise, in this campaign, has been how little direction it offered him. Kingston also said he does not remember Trump ever supporting the troops during the Iraq War. This is perhaps the swan song. Send a president, not just a message, he seemed to be saying.

“Trump, who has if nothing else unerring instincts as a bully, picked that up immediately”. “People just love her dearly, and I do too”.

Trump was asked at last Saturday’s debate about a comment from 2008, when he told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that it “would have been a wonderful thing” if Democrats had impeached Bush. “I don’t understand – she gets in front of the cameras and says something totally different”.

That list of grievances toward the name “Bush” within the base is rather lengthy.

Did the 43rd president keep Americans safe?

There’s a certain poignancy to this all, or at least a tale of expectations and assumptions gone awry after decades of public service at the system’s highest levels. The rest want to embrace him, and they do so at their peril. “He doesn’t stand out the way they do”.

Mr Snowden angrily tweeted Mr Bush, saying: “Delete your account”, while documentary filmmaker Michael Moore wrote: “Yes, it is”.

Look at the current success of Donald Trump: His outrageous, never-ending attacks have become a form of popular entertainment, a form that, oddly enough, mollifies us.

Imagine. It must be pretty deflating for them to consider that they themselves are a source of the visceral rage that Trump and Cruz exploit. “And I received a gun, and was honored to have it”.
