Jeb Bush gives advice on how to take a “selfie” in South Florida – While in West Palm Beach on Monday, Jeb Bush took a break from the serious topics of ISIS and bashing Donald Trump to give some tips on how to take a selfie. Many were encouraged to attend by the local Bush campaign operation, which had people on hand passing out “Jeb!” stickers to everyone who entered.
The former Florida governor said he was proud of strides his state made in education, but said the Nevada Legislature took things “to another level” with a voucher-style Education Savings Account program that allows families to use public education funds for private schools. “Forget that. (Now it’s) I want my damn selfie”, he said.
“We got attacked”, he said Wednesday, explaining the decline of his party’s isolationist wing. “We’ll go through a little training class here; It’s cooler to do it diagonally rather than straight up, remember that. Am I right?” he said, as the audience cheered in agreement.
Bush also talked up issues of specific interest to Floridians. He praised America’s love of diversity by mentioning his new granddaughter is a “Mexican-Texan-Iraqi-Canadian-American”, but that when she reaches 21 and fills out a census form, “she’ll say, “not applicable”. Or, you know, they could just have a selfie-off.
“I’m the only candidate that has gone after him because everybody else seems to be intimidated by the bully”, he added. “We need to rebuild military abilities”, Bush said.
“One particular candidate comes to mind”, he said, drawing some laughs from the crowd.
Trump has not held back his comments when it comes to Bush, an early Republican favorite who has seen his poll numbers fall into the low single digits in recent months.
