Jeb Bush’s leadership PAC filed a Federal Election Commission complaint against Donald Trump Wednesday, accusing his campaign of illegally accepting corporate funds by using the Trump Organization’s legal counsel to fire off cease-and-desist letters to critics. Marco Rubio said, “His habit of making outlandish and offensive comments will not bring Americans together”.

Donald Trump called Monday for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”. “As people in New Hampshire get closer to this they’re going to want to know who has the capability of winning the general election and who can be president”.
He sounds like a candidate running to be a wartime president. For perspective: in previous years Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani have led GOP polls at this juncture.
The former Florida governor spoke on immigration and the need to defeat ISIS along with the importance of candidates having a strategy to defeat them. Bush explained that Trump lacks the track record needed to win against Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, a former Secretary of State, U.S. Senator and First Lady.
“Trump has been the toughest Republican on terrorism”. Left to the GOP officers, Trump must be stopped at all costs from the process. They also have a deep desire to be constantly entertained.
What the GOP top officers did not factor in their equation about Trump is the fact that the man is an astute manipulator of public opinion; the opinion of the largely ignorant and hysterical public that is at the base of the Republican Party’s supporters.
“As you can see, the advertisement produced by New Day For America simply uses Mr. Trump’s own statements to question his fitness to serve as commander in chief”, said the letter from New Day For America.
He cleverly preys on their fears and ignorance. During a televised interview Thursday, Le Pen insisted Trump took it too far in his demand for a Muslim ban.
In almost the same breath, Bush first called for a halt in refugees – plus a review of how we let in Muslims from friendly nations: “And we should pause and make sure, like our visa waiver program”.

In October, Bush had responded to a tearful Syrian-American at a similar meeting in Bedford, New Hampshire, telling her that he was empathetic to the plight of Syrian refugees and that America was “duty-bound” to provide support. Indeed, democracy has its shortcomings.
