“I’m disappointed about missing New Hampshire this weekend”.

She wants to help, and knows her father does, too, and advance the understanding of concussions and their treatment in NASCAR.

“Actually, we were getting him an ear, nose, and throat doctor; that’s what we were lining up”, the owner said. “So when they say you’re good to go, then he’ll be back”.

On July 14, Hendrick Motorsports issued a press release stating that, “Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not complete in the July 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after experiencing concussion-like symptoms”.

Earnhardt, NASCAR’s most popular driver, sat out two races in 2012 after suffering two concussions in a six-week span. The 41-year-old Earnhardt told reporters that he believed the symptoms were incurred in crashes at MI on June 12 and at Daytona on July 2.

“I mean the news I think kind of came as a shock from my standpoint because it was after a weekend that he really only thought he had sinus troubles”, said Ryan Newman, who drives for rival Richard Childress Racing. He is now working as a race analyst for Fox Sports.

“The hardest part right now is that his racing memories are starting to go”, Gardstrom said.

“I just want him to feel good when he gets back in the auto”. Please see our terms of service for more information.

“That hasn’t necessarily been a hot topic of conversation in any of our meetings”, Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch said. Johnson has yet to consider donating his brain to the Legacy.

“He thought I was kidding at first”, Hendrick said of Gordon. And it shouldn’t matter whether you’re Dale Jr. or the 15th man on the Charlotte Hornets’ roster. If diagnosed with one, a driver, crew member or anyone heavily involved in NASCAR competition is mandated go under specific protocols in order to return to full-time duty.

At the same time, Hendrick said he wants to be certain Earnhardt is completely 100 percent before getting back in the auto. “When Dale is ready, it’s his vehicle to get back into”.

“We can talk about baseline tests and the ways that we can evaluate concussions, but unless the patient wants to be evaluated, all that stuff doesn’t work”, Burton said on NASCAR America. We just make mistake after mistake, and until we clean that up we don’t have a chance to win races, putting ourselves in a hole every time we make a mistake. Looming over the sport is the possibility that Earnhardt could decide to retire because of health concerns. Gardstrom has no interest in a lawsuit. “We’ve just got to give him a little time to rest and hopefully it could be next week and we’ll get a clean bill of health and he’ll be released and he’ll be in the auto. It is by far my worst race track, so to come here with these guys and run that well just shows what a great piece they bring to the race track”. Tony Stewart introduced Lorenzen at his hall induction. BMS executive VP and General Manager Jerry Caldwell presented Gordon with “Jeff Gordon Terrace” – which is a fixed feature at the speedway. “He’s not a bad person to think about to put in the auto”, Durchardt said.
