Can Joe Gibbs Racing continue its recent string of dominance with a seventh win in the past nine races?

Win or lose, Gordon is prepared to put on one final show for the Bristol fans. “That was pretty big, and I’ve just been really focused”, said Dillon, who is Childress’ grandson.

“We want to win this weekend, for sure, with the XFINITY Dash 4 Cash on the line, and there’s no better place for it than Bristol”, Smith said. He still won races and competed.

With 59 laps remaining, Austin Dillon beat Matt Kenseth to the lead on a restart, but his advantage lasted only about 20 seconds before Kenseth was able to pass him on the outside.

“You stay in the game until the end, and sometimes it’s your night”, Busch said.

Chris Buescher had everything he needed to win Friday night’s Food City 300 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. Let the rumors and speculation about who’s going where begin. Kurt also boasts the second-most laps led (721) and second-highest driver rating (106.2) in the series this season. On race day, he’ll be just fine, as his four Bristol wins attest, but his performance certainly wasn’t as strong as his teammate’s, which is why Busch should now be the lone favorite to win.

Daniel Suarez joins Busch and Hamlin in the Xfinity Series race, driving the No. 18 Juniper Networks Toyota. “We’re looking forward to it”.

Kyle Busch made his mark in NASCAR by sweeping the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series at BMS in August of 2010. Joey Logano is trying to win at Bristol in August for the second straight season….

Something always seems to happen that excites, and it usually comes from drivers getting in post-race arguments.

Buescher, who remains the series points leader, was obviously disappointed after the race. He can earn Team Penske its third straight win at “The Last Great Colosseum.”… Overall, Gordon’s Bristol record includes 45 starts, five victories, 17 top fives, 25 top 10s and five poles.

Suarez finished fifth to pick up a $100,000 bonus from series sponsor Xfinity in its Dash-for-Cash program eligible only to full-time series drivers. He was quick right off the hauler Friday, posting the fastest lap (129.833) in the early session while also having the best 10-consecutive lap average.
