Kent Bazemore is averaging 16.3 points in his past three contests, shooting 8-for-13 from 3-point range and 51.5 percent from the field.

He was still scribbling as his team walked away.
The Atlanta Hawks went into American Airlines Arena for their first true road test of the season Tuesday night, and came out on top over the Miami Heat, winning 98-92.
TNT personality and ex-NBA All World forward Charles Barkley call the Miami Heat one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this preseason and head coach Erik Spoelstra’s crew is beginning to find their hard-court mojo. I know I missed a few before that but I’ve got to keep shooting. “It’s a step in the right direction”.
Teague is leading the team in scoring, averaging over 18 points a game.
“That’s the way we play”, Teague said. “We feel good about the team we have”. The Atlanta Hawks are beginning to resemble the squad that won 60 games last season, so Horford has a decent shot of keeping his double-double streak going Wednesday against the Nets. According to STATS, Whiteside was the third Heat center to shoot at least 11 for 12 and block four shots in a game, joining Alonzo Mourning and Shaquille O’Neal. He took a few medicine and returned in the fourth quarter.
“It sucks. When we cut it to six, I would have loved to have been in there”, said Wade.
Heat guard Goran Dragic, of Slovenia, scored 19 points, and forward Chris Bosh added nine points and 14 rebounds. That allowed Atlanta to turn a tight 25-24 lead into a 41-26 advantage. The Hawks are off to a 4-1 start for the first time since 2011-12.
The Hawks will be without key role player in Thabo Sefolosha, who will be sitting out due to this game being the front end of a back-to-back.
At the start of the fourth quarter, the Heat trailed by 1, but ran off the first 10 points to make it 79-75 with just over eight minutes remaining.
“We scratched and clawed”, coach Lionel Hollins said. That’s no longer a problem. The Heat trailed by as many as 15 points against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, and despite a comeback that rallied them to within 4 points in the 4th, the Heat couldn’t get any closer.
The Heat started the game just fine, keeping pace with the Hawks in the first quarter, but were out-scored by 10 in the second quarter.
It was a night of milestones for Wade.

Whiteside also grabbed 14 rebounds. Those with more: Michael Jordan (893), Tracy McGrady (807), Vince Carter (758) and Ron Harper (729).
