Jeffrey Schlupp ‘frustrated with Leicester City’

Cape Town – Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says he is hoping to retain the services of Ghana worldwide Jeffrey Schlupp amidst reported interest from West Bromwich Albion.

Manager Claudio Ranieri had told Schlupp he could leave, but the club’s owners and director of football refused to sanction the transfer.

Schlupp is keen to leave the King Power in order to play regular first-team football and is keen on a switch to the Hawthorns.

Schlupp’s future has been the subject of speculation for several weeks and Ranieri told the Ghana worldwide he may need to leave the club for regular first-team football.

The 23-year-old Schlupp is a product of Leicester’s youth system and has made 142 first-team appearances in all competitions, netting 15 goals.

Jeff Schlupp has been told he will not be leaving Leicester City this transfer window.

Jeffrey Schlupp is reportedly “frustrated” that Leicester City are delaying his potential move to West Bromwich Albion. Able to play in a variety of positions – including left-back or left-midfield – Tony Pulis is an avowed fan and West Brom have had a fourth bid of £12m rejected by the Premier League champions.

Ranieri has said that he can not give Schlupp any assurances over his game-time with Leicester but it is understood he has now told the academy graduate that he will not be leaving in this window.
