Last week, Prince’s six surviving siblings said in a statement that, contrary to reports, no public memorial, funeral or tribute service has been organized or authorized by his family or Paisley Park representatives. However, she wrote on social media that she supported “any and all” memorials and funerals.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate this legend named Prince.

A memorial service for Prince took place at his church on Sunday (05.15.16). City spokeswoman Kari Spreeman says police prepared for up to 500 guests, including up to 50 high-profile people.

Graham is credited with sharing his religious beliefs with Prince, who converted to the Jehova’s Witness faith in 2003 and was an active member of the church, often going door-to-door himself to spread the Church’s gospel.

The singer’s family are understood to be planning to stage a public memorial in August. She went on to further explain her absence by writing “I feel that once… is enough”.

Prince was known at the Kingdom Hall as “Brother Nelson”.

The music icon was found unresponsive at his Paisley Park recording studio complex on April 21 and was pronounced dead shortly after first responders arrived.

Investigators have not released a cause of death for Prince, but doctors had been rushing to treat him for his dependence on painkillers. An autopsy was conducted April 22 and the results have not been revealed.

Prince’s siblings have been left to make sense of his estate – and it appears they’re getting insane in the process. It’s just one of many tributes to Prince that has been lined up in the wake of his death.
