Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer bring BFFship to Golden Globes

The actresses, who are best pals, were both up for the Best Actress in a Movie – Comedy or Musical for their respective roles in Joy and Trainwreck, and clearly wanted to have a bit of fun.

Lawrence was up against her friend Amy Schumer in the Best Actress category and the pair presented highlights from their respective films Joy and Trainwreck during the ceremony.

After her win, she spoke to reporters backstage.

Instead of dedicating her speech to Schumer, Lawrence directed her comments to director David O. Russell, who has directed her to all three of her Golden Globes. The reporter then asked Lawrence about the Oscars.

“I just thought it was really exciting when [O’Russell] called me”.

After apologising for being on his phone, the journalist attempted to ask a question, beginning: “How do you see yourself at the Oscar night…?”

Even though the project for which Lawrence was being heralded at this year’s Golden Globes was different than prior years, the actress’s endearing spitfire attitude remained.

“I really wasn’t understanding my own value”, she told Ryan Seacrest on the Golden Globes red carpet.

“I had so many doors closed in my face, I got told no a billion times”, she said. “You’d know that if you’d put down your phone”, she said.
