The mother of a patient at the hospital said: “She was very sweet, genuine, and I could sense the beauty of her soul”.

Jennfier Lawrence has always been a fan favorite, and she’s likely to gain even more fans after donating $2 million to her native Kentucky’s Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Lawrence featured in a video published on the hospital’s YouTube page to announce the news on Friday (February 12).

The holiday hospital stop has become somewhat of a tradition for the 25-year-old since 2013 and she admits spreading a little festive cheer has brought her relatives so much joy.

Kosair Children’s Hospital describes itself as “Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children”.

The donation will be used for this goal and also to build a new cardiac ICU.

As if we needed another reason to love her.

Over 5,000 children receive specialized heart care at Kosair Children’s Hospital now, and the website states that “more than 17,500 procedures annually that include open heart surgeries, catheterizations, electrophysiology and noninvasive tests such as echocardiograms”. The money will be added to the $5 million that the hospital has already raised.
