Yet that’s exactly what’s on tap for the third film pairing up star Jennifer Lawrence with Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle). Also included in the cast are Robert De Niro, Isabella Rossellini and Virginia Madsen, according to a separate report of Master Herald. Russell’s latest film Joy, in which which Lawrence plays the titular character, a woman who rises up to become the founder and matriarch of a powerful business family.

Jennifer Lawrence is back on screens and for once its not as part of a massive franchise like The Hunger Games and X-Men.

The film, billed as a genre-bending “biographical comedy-drama” is based on a true story about Joy Mangano, who invented the phenomenally successful “Miracle Mop” in the 1990s.

Lawrence and Cooper played love-struck newly-weds, who build a timber empire in 1920s North Carolina.

The story follows a family across four generations, centring on the main star as she struggles with betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love. Armed with the endearing eccentricity that garnered Silver Linings Playbook several Oscar nods and a Best Actress win for Lawrence, this biopic of inventor and entrepreneur, Joy Mangano serves up a different sort of quirky-flavored inspiration.

The first trailer released this week, opens with a woman speaking to a young girl telling her exactly how her life will unfold using sweeping statements and generalities. It will show how it feels to be a boss of a company and a godmother of a family and dynasty.
