Forbes released their 2015 World’s Highest Paid Actresses List.
The Hollywood gender wage gap has been a hot topic this year, thanks in part to the Sony e-mail hack, when it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams received a smaller percentage of back-end profits than their male co-stars on “American Hustle“. But Anne Hathaway can certainly laugh them off given the fact that she is ninth on the list with $12 million – the same amount that Twilight’s Kristen Stewart earned as well. The 25-year-old Hunger Games star pulled in $52 million pre-tax in the a year ago.
Results of the highest paid actresses in the industry came as a no-brainer since movie fanatics have seen Jennifer Lawrence grace the screen in several films since past year.
Meanwhile, Fan is the only non-American actress who made it to the Forbes list with earnings of $21 million.
Right behind her, in second place, was Scarlett Johansson with a staggering $35.5 million in the last twelve months. Whatever the figure, we can comfortably assume she’s not going hungry anytime soon. The Oscar victor is reportedly going to earn $20 million while Pratt is receiving $12 million. She commands over $10 million a movie and boosts her bank balance with Dolce & Gabbana and Sodastream endorsements.
“That doesn’t feel like anything really”, she told Empire magazine of her second place scoring on Forbes’ 2013 and 2014 list. The 33rd highest paid actor is making more than the 9th highest paid actress.
Her role in X-Men: Days of Future Past is probably the one that made her famous among Hollywood cine-buffs.
Amusing girl and “Bridesmaids” actress McCarthy nabbed the third spot with $23 million, while Aniston landed at number five with $16.5 million.

However although the “Starvation Video games” and “X-Males” star’s haul could also be excessive, it definitely trails far behind that of the world’s highest-paid actor, Robert Downey Jr.
