Washington D.C., Nov 9: Unlike her public image, Jennifer Lopez can be seen shooting her partner to stage a crime scene and getting busted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the newly-released action-packed trailer of her upcoming NBC cop drama ‘Shades of Blue’. A Brooklyn detective and single mom, Santos is convinced to go undercover as an Federal Bureau of Investigation informant to protect her daughter.

If there’s one thing we can say about Jennifer Lopez’s new NBC cop show, is that it’s way, way more serious than its title would indicate. Part of a close-knit unit known for its conviction record, Harlee has become compromised by her colleagues – all of whom also pitch in to help raise her daughter – and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself. Shades of Blue is set to premiere on January 14, 2016 with 13 episodes ordered so far.
The cast also includes Ray Liotta, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Drea De Matteo, Hampton Fluker, Vincent Laresca and Sarah Jeffery. The series is from Adi Hasak the writer of 3 Days to Kill and From Paris with Love.
