And, although it was a hard and heartbreaking time for her, she believes the split brought her closer to her friends.

In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire United Kingdom, Jennifer Lopez has shared a few thoughts about her risky “Booty ” video and she revealed that she never intended it to be vulgar.

The actress, who has since come out with films like The Boy Next Door and Home, has learned to balance life and not outstretch herself.

On her raunchy video with Iggy Azalea: I wanted it to be attractive and sexy, not sexy and raunchy.

On that first point: “I think I realized [my friends] were as important-if not more important-when I divorced Marc [Anthony]”.

“Sometimes when you’re younger, you go for raunch, or shock value, but I don’t need to do that”, the now 46 year old singer said.

“I learned a lot from that time in my life where I did overstretch myself”, she said. “And you realize the sky is not going to fall, even though everybody makes you feel like it’s going to”. The star is only too aware that many people wanted her to have a short career so they could move on to the next big thing, but as she has always had things to say and plans to achieve, she’s managed to stick around.
