Actor Lin-Manuel Miranda greets spectators after taking part in his last performance with “Hamilton” in New York July 9, 2016.
On Tuesday, in a quickly published-and-deleted move on Twitter, Jennifer Lopez posted a picture using #AllLivesMatter and a photo of her and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Lin Manuel-Miranda, the creator and star of Broadway smash musical Hamilton, stepped away from the role of revolutionary hero Alexander Hamilton last week after a year in the role. At the end of Saturday’s performance, the four exiting members of the show bowed to the audience while Miranda’s favorite “The West Wing” theme song plays in the background.
The entertainment website interviewed the two in connection with their song “Love Make the World Go Round“, which was recorded as a benefit. “We have to let people know that they’re going to be okay, that they’re going to survive and we can make things better”.
Miranda’s acceptance speech at the Tony Awards earlier this month – which he memorably rapped – convinced Lopez that he was “the flawless person to do this with me”.
“No pressure”, Miranda responded.

The song’s lyrics reflect the sonnet Miranda gave at the Tony Awards, which took place less than 24 hours after the Orlando attack. Jennifer, Lin-Manuel, and Epic Records are donating 100 percent of the proceeds from each download on the dates of July 8 to October 5 to the Hispanic Federation for the Somos Orlando Fund.
