Jens Lehmann hugely critical of Arsenal after ‘throwing away’ Premier League title
The north London club last won the league title in 2003/04 when Lehmann was at the club and the team had gone an entire season unbeaten with the team dubbed the Invincibles.

Arsene Wenger’s side eased into a 1-0 lead thanks to Alexis Sanchez’s first-half opener before Yannick Bolasie levelled to secure a point for the away side.
He added: “It was a timely goal, and an important point for us because two of the teams below us have to get 40 points and with our goal difference it will be hard for them”.
“It’s much more about that and to look behind us because everybody is playing well and winning games”.
“In the end we got caught with basically a unique shot on goal from Crystal Palace”. “We had plenty of possession, but did not create enough clear-cut chances. We are still in touching distance of mid-table which is where I think we belong”.
Arsenal were top of the table at the start of 2016, but have since failed to beat the likes of Stoke City, Chelsea, Southampton, Swansea City and Crystal Palace. “Obviously it would be incredible if Leicester were to do it too for so many reasons, but for me, having spent a good period of my career at White Hart Lane, I would like Spurs to nick it”. For us, it will be a fight until the end to get a place in the top four.
“We lacked a change of pace, our passing was a bit slow”.
“You can see when I was on the bench and warming up and they were booing me I was just laughing”.
When the Arsenal under 21s pulled off the brilliant result of beating the top club Derby County despite being a man down last Monday, it meant that we had two games left to overtake the leaders and claim automatic promotion. That’s not a deficiency in the game plan or a deficiency of the manager – it is to be admired.
“We’ve been talking about the situation where if any of the teams ahead of us slip, we need to get three points but unfortunately we’ve not been able to do that”.

I’m very disappointed. It is one of those days where you don’t like to do a press conference after because it is not pleasant.
