The dynamic duo are said to be weighing up their options but with the chemistry being a vital part of the show’s success the future of the much loved show is in turmoil.
In 2013, Oliver was offered a judge’s role in the U.S. version of the show but he hadn’t been able to and it had been a “big regret” for him. Although he’d be more likely to land a role as a judge on the show and not a presenter, he’s reported to have said that he would “love” to be involved in the Channel 4 show.
The BBC allocated £10m in funds to keep the Bake Off on its screens, but producers Love Productions refused to accept offers below £25m.
“It’s not up to us, it’s up to the production company, but as far as Mary, Mel, Sue and myself are concerned we want to stay on the BBC”, he said.
Three separate sources told us about the secret legal row between the BBC and Love Productions over a hairdressing competition, which was produced in-house at the broadcaster and originally aired on BBC3.

Richard McKerrow, Love Productions creative director, said: We believe weve found the ideal new home for Bake Off.
The pair released a joint statement to reveal the news, in which they said they are “not going with the dough”.
Speaking about the future of the show, Betway’s Alan Alger explained: “News of the Great British Bake Off moving to Channel 4 has triggered a rumble of rumours about what might be the next show to go and Match of the Day is widely fancied at 5/2”.

Love complained that “Hair” effectively “ripped-off” the “The Great British Bake Off” format. It’s now in its seventh season on the BBC. It moved to BBC One in 2014 and in 2015 it was the most-watched programme with an incredible 15.1 million people tuning in for the final.
