He was booed as he added: “I’m not even sure Jeremy did vote In”.

The Labour leader told the audience, which regulalry jeered both candidates throughout, that politicians had to respect the outcome of the democratic process even if they didn’t like the result.
“People in Scotland can not look to Labour in Westminster right now and anticipate us winning a general election, therefore we are ill serving the Scottish Labour Party and we are ill serving the people of Scotland”.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is to set out a “transformative” vision for the arts as he continues his campaign in Scotland.
Smith said he was “gutted” by the outcome of the European Union referendum and that he was prepared to fight Brexit by opposing a vote to invoke Article 50 in parliament using “absolutely every vehicle possible”.
Mr Corbyn responded: “I thought we had grown up, we weren’t any longer going to use those kind of questions”.
Corbyn: Owen, you know perfectly well what the answer is – I voted Remain and I’m very surprised and actually quite disappointed that you should raise that question. You’re meant to be winning back Scotland on the basis that we’d be more radical and that would appeal to the Scottish people, you’ve just repeated it, and the reality is that in the previous year when you’ve been leader of the Labour Party across the United Kingdom, we’ve gone from second to third behind the Tories.
Mr Corbyn and his rival Owen Smith are travelling to the country where they will go head to head in the latest husting in Glasgow on Thursday night.
Mr Corbyn will also say a Labour government under his leadership would introduce a cross-departmental Cabinet committee to increase participation in the arts and culture.
“The SNP are very good at pretending to adopt the clothes of Labour tradition in Scotland”, said Corbyn.
Mr Smith is also visiting Scotland after gaining the support of Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale to replace Mr Corbyn.
“The reality is something very, very different, of what they do in their economic strategy”. He has regularly tweeted in support of Corbyn, saying a vote for him was “a vote for progressive, compassionate, working-class policies”.
He recognised many Scottish Labour supporters who are hungry for change have shifted to the SNP, but insisted these people are not being well served by the nationalists.
Last month, Ms Turley told the Gazette she would be supporting Owen Smith “because my constituents in Redcar desperately need a strong and effective opposition leader to hold this Tory government to account and I believe Owen is the person to do it”.

Mr Smith will travel to Scotland on Thursday after spending the morning in his hometown of Pontypridd, where his son will get his GCSE results.
