To be fair, I do not believe this is always the case. Jesus Christ was and is known for His unconditional love extended to all no matter what sins have been committed. Yet, there is a reason why throughout Scripture and researching the life of the early church, God placed so much priority on this very task.

When you read the Bible or even draw inspiration from the people around you, you will notice that character is cardinal in how one serves his/her God. And this is the condemnation, that The Light (Jesus Christ) has come into the World, and Men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil. But all these things they (Unbelievers) will do to YOU, for My Name’s Sake, because they (Unbelievers) do NOT know Him (God Almighty) who sent Me. “It’s that we might bear witness to Jesus”.
