Ezekiel Elliott has yet to suit up for the Cowboys in a regular season game, but he’s already drawn some consternation from owner Jerry Jones. “But I’m fine. I could have come back in, but it was [head coach Jason Garrett’s] decision”.

It was just a scare this time. This is as non-story as it gets, and yet Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still felt the need to comment.
“That’s a part of just really getting the big picture”, Jones added. “And the other thing is it’s just not good”.

So Dak Prescott comes in right after the Romo injury and promptly goes 17-23 with a TD in the mix. I guess I got my breath. He came back, for some reason, in Week 11 to try and help the 2-7 Cowboys make a run in the NFC East toilet bowl (eventual division victor Washington was only 3-5 at the time) but injured his shoulder again in Week 12. “It’s just not good”, he said of Elliot’s actions.
Romo is expected to sit out the preseason final to make sure he is healthy and ready for the September 11 season opener against the New York Giants.

Romo heads into the regular season with just 15 snaps of work in the preseason. Prescott has been great in each of the three games he’s played, and even coming off the bench in a different role last night, simply looks unflappable. And then of course we started the game off with him split out and saw him as a receiver and of course his play without having the ball is what has made him special. “In that regard I feel very lucky that it could hold up and keep going”. Someone tipped it at the last minute, as I am about to hit him. “But it’s not good, It’s just not good. We obviously don’t need to see what Tony can do out there”.
