Jerry Jones Says Rushing Tony Romo Back Was Worth it

Tony Romo and the Cowboys face a Carolina Panthers team that has won 14 regular-season games in a row. He didn’t need surgery after breaking the collarbone in Week 2 at Philadelphia, either.

In an update, ESPN’s Ed Werder noted that Romo will miss the entire season since his recovered collarbone only lasted for two games.

There is definite indication that Bryant is not fully healthy, and he has only been with Romo for one complete game this entire season.

Romo’s next throw did not go much better. “[Romo] is a warrior”. He has yet to lead the team to a win in four starts this year. To have that happen to him again [is] unfortunate. As far as going into this week, it’s such a short week you just forget about last week and you have to move right on.

During a radio interview on KRLD-FM radio in Dallas, Jones said that Romo suffered a hairline fracture that will not require surgery.

Either way, the Cowboys are facing a tough road ahead with Romo as his window to win a championship may be closing.

For the Cowboys something that would be extraordinary now is if the team could actually win a game without Romo. Romo left the field favoring his left arm after remaining on the turf for several minutes.

“In my eyes, he will always be Captain America because he makes every play”, Newton said.

According to the Dallas Morning News, outside the locker room after the game, Norman said, “Hey, they need to get Dez’s 70 mil back”. “I think for all of us, we have that approach that it’s a one game season”.

“I know Tony wanted it so bad, and sometimes you push”. I don’t want to give away who he is but a person that plays like is not just a nice guy. “We felt the risk was worth the potential for having him be the impact he can be and really having a fairytale turnaround and doing something that was special”.

Rather than question the decision to bring Romo back this season, Jerry instead questions the choices he made at backup quarterback, where Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel were left at the controls when Romo went down.

Now sitting at 3-8 with no Romo to save them, there is a strong possibility Dallas with finish with their first top 5 draft choice dating back to 2003. A follow-up check-up on the collarbone is expected later this week and could decide the status of Romo.

He can also start the search for the next great Dallas running back now. RG3 has yet to take a snap all season.

But the offseason will have to wait. The Jets have been struggling as of late and the Dolphins have a good chance to beat them if they limit their mistakes.
