Jersey City Mayor Questions Donald Trump’s Presidential Ability After Claiming
“Somebody like Jeb, and others that are running against me – and by the way Hillary is another one; I mean, Hillary is a person who doesn’t have the strength or the stamina, in my opinion, to be president”, Trump said.

“I saw the film of it, yes”, he said. “They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down”, Trump said on Sunday.
“There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it. Heavy Arab population that were cheering as the buildings came down”, he said.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently attracted criticism and controversy for saying, “I watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering” as the World Trade Center collapsed.
“A Washington Post article in September of 2001 contained a single line referencing celebration: “In Jersey City, within hours of two jetliners” plowing into the World Trade Center, law enforcement authorities detained and questioned a number of people who were allegedly seen celebrating the attacks and holding tailgate-style parties on rooftops while they watched the devastation on the other side of the river”.
At the same rally on Saturday, Mr Trump was interrupted by a demonstrator from the Black Lives Matter movement.
And Trump said he would bring back waterboarding, an interrogation tactic that he said “is peanuts compared to what they’re doing to us”. “And that tells you something”.
PolitiFact, in a report Sunday evening, said after an “exhaustive search of newspaper and television transcripts”, it found widely broadcast video of people in Palestine celebrating the 9/11 attacks – but absolutely evidence of celebrations like the ones Trump described in America. There were a few Internet rumors of Muslims celebrating the towers’ fall in Paterson, New Jersey, but those rumors were discounted by local police at the time. Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop (D) is now speaking out against Trump, claiming that his presidential ability is undoubtedly questionable.
Trump claimed: “It was well covered at the time”.
One of Trump’s GOP primary opponents, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, was noncommittal on whether it happened, but said he didn’t recall anything of the sort. Fulop revealed that Jersey City officials were among the initial “first responders” after the attack.
