It was reported in February that the company, co-founded by the Hollywood celebrity, was working with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley on a potential IPO.
Is another, Los Angeles consumer startup-The Honest Company-about to be acquired by Unilever?
Unilever is in talks to buy the “trustworthy” consumer products company Honest Co which was co-founded by the actress Jessica Alba, according to a report.
Unilever, best known for products like Dove Soap and Axe body spray, is looking to tap further into the market for the sort of “natural” products Honest is famous for.
According to media reports, Unilever is in early talks for a deal valued at around $1bn, considerably below the $1.7bn valuation Honest received as a part of fundraising round past year. It generates estimated annual revenues of around $300m.
Honest has challenged giants such as Procter & Gamble and Clorox with promises to avoid harsh chemicals found in many mainstream products. However, in the USA it does not have too many products that compete with Honest, which sells disposable baby diapers, household cleaners, personal-care and beauty products, according to The Wall Street Journal.

WSJ cited people familiar with the matter as saying that talks are at an early stage and Honest hasn’t ruled out an initial public offering.
