Kejriwal’s team said Jaitley should resign or be removed to clear the way for a new investigation, and that they were planning to file a police case against Jaitley “very soon”.

Jaitley, on his part slapped criminal and civil defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders in Delhi courts tomorrow for making “false and defamatory” statements against him.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley can not intimidate him and his party by filing a court case on the DDCA issue. “We have requested the High Court that no order should be passed without hearing us”, Phoolka was quoted as saying by ANI.
It is learnt that leading lawyer Ram Jethmalani has offered to appear in court for Kejriwal.
The Delhi Government had yesterday made a decision to constitute a commission of enquiry to probe the alleged corruption in the DDCA.
It has accused Union finance minister Arun Jaitley of having benefited from the corruption in the cricket association and asked for his resignation. He pointed out the much-higher cost of renovating Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Dhyanchand National Stadium during the Congress-led UPA’s tenure.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said probe found that Arun Jaitley has no role in DDCA irregularities.
Dissatisfied over Jaitley’s reply in the Lok Sabha, Congress members walked out of the house. Referring to the Congress demand for a JPC probe, he said the party should have sought a time-bound inquiry and “SIT over CBI which comes out with its findings in three-four months”.
Azad, a Lok Sabha member from Bihar, on Sunday alleged massive corruption in the DDCA.
The DDCA has admitted that there were irregularities, but has absolved Jaitley of any involvement. I am fighting against corruption and my fight is not against any individual or any party.
The minister said the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), which went into the allegations concerning DDCA, did not say that the expenses were wrong.

Meanwhile, ex-cricketer and Member of Parliament, Kirti Azad alleged that crores of rupees were paid to fake and non-existent companies during the 2008-2013 period.
