Jets beat Giants in OT on Bullock field goal and Brown miss

The Giants will be in for an even longer day this Sunday if they make similar mistakes.

Orleans Darkwa, Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams are all bad. In four of their losses, they’ve actually won the turnover battle. Without Revis being on the field, it should give Odell Beckham Jr.an opportunity to have a big game. That’s pathetic production from your Nos.

Beckham’s nine touchdowns are tied for second in the league.

It may be true that they haven’t enjoyed a dominant and successful season so far, there’s no denying that these NY franchises are more than capable of pushing it harder.

There are some positives to take from the last few weeks, such as the emergence of Will Tye, who had 70 yards receiving on Sunday, and Dwayne Harris continuing to contribute all over the field. Jason Pierre-Paul had a fumble recovery to set up one of two field goals by Brown, whose miss was his first since December 21. QUESTIONABLE: T Marshall Newhouse (back), C Weston Richburg (ankle).

Still, Manning was sacked three times for the second straight week. On a fourth down play call, Eli Manning attempted a pass to Reuben Randle, who had a miscommunication with Manning, and the pass was subsequently intercepted by Jets’ defensive back Rontez Miles.

Beckham’s exploits are nearly single-handedly keeping the Giants’ dreams alive this season and in the same game he raced away from a 72-yard touchdown before performing one of the more weird post-touchdown celebrations by running over imaginary hurdles.

Another week, another poor performance by a group of no-name linebackers.

Fitzpatrick combined with Bilal Powell on a 25-yard screen pass for the Jets’ other touchdown. Jets fans will remember backing the Giants up to their one yard line on third down, only to watch in agony as Victor Cruz torched Antonio Cromartie for a 99 yard touchdown which turned the tide in the Giants’ favor. And they managed to keep Chris Ivory in check while also never letting the Jets get into a rhythm.

Coming into the game, the Giants knew that Brandon Marshall would be highly targeted and Eric Decker was an effective No. 2 receiver. They also allowed Kirk Cousins to go 20 for 29 with 302 yards and a touchdown. “But this was a good one, and we’ll definitely enjoy this one tonight”.

“That’s typical Fitzpatrick”, said Marshall (12 catches, 131 yards). Harris became the third Giant to have returned a kickoff and punt for touchdowns in the same season, joining Emlen Tunnell (1951) and Jimmy Patton (1955) …

Balance out the A-plus and the F, and this group gets a C. Will this be another jumping off spot for the Giants on a Super Bowl run? While head coach Tom Coughlin and offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo will tell you that they don’t want to be a one-dimensional team, putting the ball in the air is the only thing working for the Giants offense.

There’s a reason he’s on the hot seat every season, and with a fourth consecutive season of missing the postseason on the horizon, there’s no saving his job now. After that, the Giants host Carolina and Philadelphia with a road game in Minnesota in between.

Coughlin’s aggressive nature was prevalent today in a play that helped to decide the flow of the game late. I just try to take it out in between the lines. Is this a real question?

Buck Allen had 170 all-purpose yards for the Ravens (4-8) and scored on a 41-yard pass from Schaub, but that was their only touchdown of the game and Justin Tucker missed a field goal that would have put Baltimore in front less than three minutes from time.
