Now, the Jets’ star wide receiver’s mind raced as the pain pulsated.
“When we were together in Baltimore, we had several conversations about football, and I could tell Greg was a sharp guy who knows football”, Ryan said last season. “I believe we’re going to do what we can to put the ball in our playmakers’ hands, and I think Anthony will do that”.

We saw both Goodwin and Salas make large plays for touchdowns on Thursday night (watch here and here), and it’s likely Ryan wants to see even more of that.
After a decision as stark and controversial as this one, he better hope he’s right. He caught 109 passes for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2015, and he has a strong relationship with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, which in part resulted in those impressive numbers. In the end, he looked so good that his teammates felt comfortable joking about what had been a scary situation. “I’m excited for him”.
“Just confidence”, Eric Decker said of the biggest different in Enunwa’s game this year.
“To come back and make plays like he did just shows the athlete and beast that he is”. Against the Jets, the Bills had 307 yards offense, with more than half that coming on two plays: Taylor’s 84-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Goodwin and a 74-yard TD pass to Greg Salas.
But Bowles isn’t anxious about Revis, now 31, being on the decline. “I mean, I don’t think that’s an indication of the whole season”. Maybe. “There’ll be some fluctuation here and there, depending on the game”, Bowles said. “We’ve got to correct it and move on, and he’ll be better”. They were more productive against the Jets on Thursday night, but most of it was on big plays. The Jets did allow Bills WR Brandon Tate to return a kickoff 45 yards in the third quarter, but that drive ended with Williams’ interception.
“It’s a copycat league”, Bowles said.

Wes Johnson filled in for Carpenter when he went out and “did OK” according to Bowles. The Bills cut the lead to ten with a late field goal heading into the halftime break. “I was occupied doing something with the defense, and when I turned around, I looked at it. We knew there was going to be a lot of mess-talking out there, but we’ve got to keep our emotions under wraps and we have to make sure we don’t get those types of penalties”.
