Steelers beat Browns 28-12, slide into AFC playoffs
The Steelers (10-6) earned a wild-card berth as a result of their win and the Buffalo Bills’ 22-17 victory over the New York Jets. This is a lot of points to lay on a road team but the Browns aren’t going to match what Ben Roethlisberger and Co.do offensively.

CLEVELAND – Cleveland Browns kicker Travis Coons converted a 33-yard field goal as the first-half clock expired, and his third kick of the game cut the Pittsburgh Steelers’ lead down to five points, 14-9, heading into the second half. A win would have prepared the Steelers for defeating the Cleveland Browns this week and clinching a playoff berth.

Odd-even scheme: On Day 1, Delhi’s air quality fluctuates
Unlike yesterday, SAFAR’s hourly average graph of mass concentration of pollutants did not show any upward trend after 2 PM. PM 2.5 are the particulate matter capable of causing harm to human respiration, if present above permissible levels.

If the Bengals do not earn a first-round bye, they will host the AFC North division rival Steelers in the first round.

US Calls In Iran, Saudis To Reduce Tensions
Amnesty International criticised Nimr’s arrest for being part of a campaign by the Saudi authorities to quash all dissent. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was “deeply dismayed” by the executions and called again for an end to the death penalty.

They’re still chasing another Super Bowl title. The Week 17 road game was not the prettiest of wins for a Pittsburgh team that has been far from ideal all season, but they overcame mental errors and sloppy play that has plagued them off and on to a winning 10-6 record.

While that was going on, the Buffalo Bills defeated the New York Jets, half of the other equation the Steelers had to have to make it as the sixth playoff seed in the AFC.

Leading comfortably in the closing minutes, Roethlisberger heard the crowd roar. “It’s our own fault we don’t control our own destiny, so we have to go do everything we can to get ourselves in”. “We felt like we had good matchups, and we were able to exploit them”. The Steelers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 17-20.

“All we can do is tune everything out and go play a game”, defensive end Cam Heyward said. “We’re where we need to be”.

Pettine enters with a 10-21 record, a mark made worse by the Browns’ disappointing performance on defense this season.

The Browns are only 3-17 in the last 20 games under head coach Mike Pettine.

Jets players, to a man, scoff at any notion the Bills, with no playoff carrot to chase, are ready to mail in this last game and get on with their offseason.

Pettine wasn’t surprised by reports he was on his way out. “I don’t know about that”, receiver Kamar Aiken said. Davis lofted the pass for Pryor, and he outjumped cornerback Antwon Blake for the longest pass play of the game, as well as his first catch of the season. “I feel like we’ve done a lot of good things, but I’m the first one to tell you, this is a pass-fail league and the results aren’t there”.

ABOUT THE BROWNS (3-12): Cleveland has its own issues on offense with Manziel questionable, and Austin Davis would get the start if Manziel is not cleared by Sunday.

-QB Ben Roethlisberger passed for 349 yards and three touchdowns Sunday at Cleveland.

INDIANAPOLIS – Recently signed Josh Freeman and Ryan Lindley each threw a touchdown pass in the first half and Jerrell Freeman scored on a 23-yard interception in the second for the Colts.

All that was left was for the Bills to help out. However, a Steelers win coupled with a Jets loss to Buffalo would propel the Black and Gold into the playoff picture.

Brown had 129 catches for 1,698 yards in 2014. Again, that hinges on Pittsburgh’s even making the postseason.

“We’re capable of more”, guard David DeCastro was saying the other day.

That said, we’d have voted Antonio Brown third after MVP Ben Roethlisberger and DeAngelo Williams.

Newton has 10 TDs rushing on the season, including two against the Buccaneers today.

“We’ll have to see what happens”, said the nine-time Pro Bowler.
