No other official statements have been made about the alleged assault or the happenings immediately preceding it. Despite three highly publicized situations this summer, Bowles and the Jets players insisted that there is no deep-rooted issue in the locker room.

As a college football player at Louisiana Tech, IK Enemkpali threw a punch that crashed against the head of an off-duty cop who was working security at a bar.
Enemkpali was a sixth-round pick in 2014 and was a reserve linebacker. But we’re more interested in another possible addition, should the Jets decide to take this route-that addition being everyone’s favorite fat quarterback, Jared Lorenzen.
But now, the Jets are trying to move forward without Smith, who was having a good camp, and turn to veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick as they prepare for their preseason opener at Detroit on Thursday. Bowles said Tuesday they may or may not add another quarterback to the roster.
