Jetstar NZ apologises to passenger for asking about pregnancy
Andersen stated the human being motioned to his abdomen & asked her “How many weeks are you?”

She posted her disappointment on Jetstar’s Facebook page, with many others commenting on how insensitive the question was.
“Do I need to put my jacket on, and change what I was wearing?’ I tried to make a joke about it, but I was feeling really self conscious”.
“I used to be quite heavily overweight and even then was never met by such a rude question and especially no remorse from the flight attendant”, she earlier wrote on social media in a complaint to Jetstar.
Grethe Anderson, 24, was asked by a Jetstar flight attendant “how many weeks” she is, but she is not pregnant.
Women got behind Ms Andersen after the post went viral, posting photos of their baby bumps to show just how wrong Jetstar got it.
During the flight – which was the start of a “girls weekend” – all she could think about was her appearance, she told One News.
When she asked him to repeat himself, thinking he was asking how heavy her bag was, he asked, “How many weeks are you?”
Pregnant woman Hanna Marshall said she was asked the same question before her last flight, and was still embarrassed. It would be laughable that she was asked if it wasn’t so darn insulting. “It’s hard and I know where they are coming from as they have to ask but still, most pregnant women will tell them or know the rules before they fly”.
In response, Jetstar called Andersen to apologize and offered her a discount voucher worth $67.
“I said: A medical certificate?”
A flight voucher of $100 had also been provided to the passenger as a “goodwill gesture”.
A spokesman for the airline told One News it “sincerely” apologised for the distress caused to Ms Andersen.
Jetstar passengers must carry a letter from a registered medical practitioner or midwife if they are more than 28 weeks pregnant.

It’s not the first time a woman has complained on the airlines’ lack of tact, reports NZME.
