Police and security guards then shot the two. “When they kept advancing…the officers neutralized the terrorists”, a police statement said.
“As soon as the two crossed, (Israeli forces) started screaming “Go back, go back”, and then they began shooting”.
It added that the police said the woman had her hand inside her bag, while the man had his hand behind his back.
In the past six months, Israeli forces have killed at least 193 Palestinians, 130 of whom Israel said were assailants.
Twenty-nine Israelis and four non-Israelis have been killed in the recent wave of terror attacks.
