Jewish extremists kill Palestinian child in West Bank arson attack
Israeli security officials said the fire is suspected to have been set by Jewish extremists.

“This is a suspected attack with nationalist motives”, Samri said.
The parents and the child’s older brother were severely injured.
The Israel army issued a statement saying that they were trying to locate the suspects of the attack.
Extreme-right Israeli activists have committed acts of vandalism and violence against Palestinians and Arab Israelis for years, attacking Christian and Muslim places of worship and even Israeli soldiers.
“He reiterates that settlements are illegal under global law, an impediment to peace, and can not be reconciled with the Government of Israel’s stated intention to pursue a two-state solution”, a statement issued by the secretary-general’s spokesperson said.
Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a military spokesman, said the incident was “nothing short of a barbaric act of terrorism”.
“A comprehensive investigation is underway in order to find the terrorists and bring them to justice”.
Local residents and witnesses identified the infant killed in the attack as 18-month-old Ali Saad Dawabsha.

The “Price Tag” group has been blamed for a series of mosque torchings in the West Bank in the past few years, often in retribution for Israeli actions against illegally built settlements.
