A United Kingdom forensic expert hired by her mother, Rabia, has said the “hanging was staged”, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror. After she was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her Juhu residence, skeletons about her affair with Sooraj started coming out from the closet. Rabia has repeatedly said that 25-year-old Jiah could not have committed suicide, filing a petition for thorough probe in the HC, which asked the CBI to take up the case. While it is yet unsure if the forensic expert’s opinion is admissible in court since it is done by a private foreign lab and not by the State, we hear that Rabia intends to approach the city sessions court with the latest findings and agreeing with the same, was their lawyer Dinesh Tiwari.

According to the Mirror report, Payne-James studied the medical and post-mortem reports, analysed photographs of Jiah’s body and reviewed CCTV grabs and her room pictures for investigation.

Contradicting this, Payne-James has said the injuries “represent either abrasions or bruises”, and are indicative of “blunt force trauma to the mouth region (for example punching or a hand placed over the mouth)”, the Mirror report says.

The suicide of actress Jiah Khan opened gates of trouble for her boyfriend actor Sooraj Pancholi.

“In terms of their site and appearance, they are not typical of teeth marks”, the report states.

Payne-James, on the other hand, concluded that such impressions could not have been created by the dupatta.

Last year, Sooraj was charged with abetment to suicide.

Payne-James also objected to the Indian experts’ analysis of the marks found on Jiah’s neck – they had contended that these marks were caused by the dupatta the actress used “slipping downwards” whereas Payne-James believes the ligature marks are “too well defined to have been caused by a dupatta“. The reports also raised a doubt that someone could have hit her strongly. The new report says that a dupatta could not have left such a well-defined mark. 3. He opined that the injury could have been by multiple knots tied on the dupatta. Jiah’s real name was Nafisa Rizvi Khan.

The “Hero” actor’s mother said that Sooraj and Jiah had parted ways long before she died and that Jiah wasn’t ready to move on and leave her son.

The report by James Pynes raises questions about the accuracy of the CBI’s investigations saying that Jiah Khan’s “hanging was staged”
