Jim Harbaugh crushed a buckeye with a hammer on Bo Schembechler’s grave
Harbaugh, of course, played at MI prior to embarking on a 14-year career and is now back as the head coach of the football team.

At a recent press conference, Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh was asked how he was preparing his team for the upcoming games with Penn State and Ohio State. “It’s rooted at the University of MI, it was experienced at the University of MI”.
The organizer of the annual grave walks, Jeffrey Holzhausen, told the Detroit News that he had no idea Harbaugh had joined this year’s group.
You need to go read the rest of it, what Harbaugh said and everything else Chengelis wrote. They include Schembechler, Fielding Yost and Bob Ufer. That was the architect. “He really had the vision”.
Ahead of the matchup against the Buckeyes, Harbaugh went on the traditional walk through Forrest Hill Cemetery, where some of the most important figures in MI football history have been buried. It’s hard, MI players said, to throttle up the intensity when the meter is already stuck on “enthusiasm unknown to mankind”.
“So it was great, the best part was being with all those others who were there sharing that together last night”. Including Harbaugh and his father, Jack.
