Jim Miller Thinks Sage Northcutt Is A Perfect Match For Mickey Gall
For those who have followed him since he first debuted on the big stage a year ago, UFC lightweight Sage Northcutt is basically the gift that keeps on giving.

While many have shared their opinion regarding CM Punk’s MMA future and how it shouldn’t have anything to do with the UFC, the man who competed against the former WWE Superstar in his first professional MMA fight doesn’t agree. And if Gall wants to face him, Northcutt said the door is open for the two to fight in December once he heals up from a staph infection.
‘I think a lot of people were interested, ‘ Gall said.
“They had no pro MMA record, no amateur MMA record”.
As far as Gall as an opponent, Northcutt says nothing really stands out to him, saying that his undefeated record doesn’t show much, either, as his previous two foes – CM Punk included – had little-to-no mixed martial arts (MMA) experience. He just doesn’t have the hair gel in it. Northcutt said he expected Gall to defeat Punk but he didn’t anticipate the 24-year-old making fun of him the way he did.
On the possible Gall/Northcutt fight: “I think he goes to the ground with Sage and it’s another dominant submission in the first round”. I’m thinking maybe he should get some hair gel in it and style it or something.
“All I can say is that I believe I have better grappling than [Gall], and I believe that I have better stand-up”, Northcutt added. “This time coming around, having more time notice for it and fighting at 170, I should be healthy”.
UFC 205 will come too soon.
Northcutt was quick to follow-up this diss to end all disses by stating that he wasn’t exactly a fan of all the cuss words that Gall used while calling him out, and that should the two fight, he would be able to “take the fight wherever he wanted to”.
The Texas native also revealed now recovering from a second staph infection this year, so he wouldn’t be ready for UFC 205 in November.
“This might sound like a gimmicky fight but I’m no gimmick”.

“To see a guy at an advanced age, that’s a professional at a given sport, and then wants to transition to something else, obviously you look at motives behind it, and I truly believe that the kid loves fighting”.
