NBC is standing by “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon as rumors about his health continue to surface. “Aside from that, he’s in better shape than he’s ever been”.

Greenblatt also addressed the fact that NBC nearly simultaneously introduced three new series with Latina leads: Telenovela (Eva Longoria), Shades Of Blue (Jennifer Lopez) and Superstore (America Ferrera).

According to NBC entertainment chair Robert Greenblatt, the network didn’t actually think Trump would last in the presidential race! “I often say Jimmy is going to be there longer than me and longer than many of you in your jobs”.

“He doesn’t have a drinking problem that any of us know about”, he said (via the Hollywood Reporter).

“I think it was”, he said. “I think it’s unrealistic for a decade or so, but check back with me then”.

Added Greenblatt, “Ricky made a decision about returning, but we haven’t made that yet”. On Feb. 21, the network will air an all-star tribute to legendary TV director James Burrows that will feature appearances by the cast members of numerous shows he directed, including all six stars from Friends.

Following up the great success of The Wiz, NBC has announced that their next live musical will be Hairspray!

“We just have to look at each, case-by-case”, said Greenblatt, who’s still interested in mounting a live drama, “not just for the sake of that, but if it is additive to the process”.

“People have been saying to me since “The Wiz“, ‘Do this show, do that show, ‘” Greenblatt told Entertainment Weekly.
