That victory enabled the Patriots to advance to the Super Bowl, where they beat defending champion Seattle Seahawks 28-24.

According to the NFL, Brady ordered the destruction of the cell phone soon after his initial March 6, 2015 meeting with league investigators.

Brady maintained his innocence in a Facebook statement Wednesday and was backed by Patriots owner Robert Kraft. After he hangs up, he crushes his phone between his hands, as Goodell sits unfazed in a papasan chair.

But until that point, the 23-year-old will continue to learn as much as he can, both from his experiences on the field and from soaking up anything he can from Brady. “It hasn’t.” With those parting words, he makes his exit.

“I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at anytime, anything related to football air pressure before this issue was raised at the AFC Championship game in January”, Brady wrote, referring to the American Football Conference game won by the Patriots.

The motion filed Friday in U.S. District Court in New York said Brady no longer intends to seek a temporary restraining order or injunction that would allow him to play until a ruling is issued. But with Brady steadfastly avoiding the media all offseason while being involved in a bitter legal dispute with the league, he might be willing to defy its guidelines in this area, too.

A New York federal judge will hear American football star Tom Brady’s appeal of his NFL four-game suspension over the “Deflategate” scandal, after a judge yesterday transferred the case from Minnesota.

Goodell initially levelled the penalty on Brady after a 243-page report from lawyer Ted Wells, whom the NFL hired to investigate the matter.
