Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan won a Daytime Emmy yesterday for their talk show, capping a turbulent few days which saw Ripa storm off over her co-presenter’s decision to quit.

Let the parade of temporary Michael Strahan replacements begin!
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan just won a pretty major award.
On Monday’s broadcast, just hours after the victory, Ripa and Strahan walked out holding hands and trophies.
But Ripa may be in luck, as former co-host Regis Philbin has been asked to return to the show, Page Six reported.
Ripa tried to hide whatever stress she underwent and put on a good show.
A source told Entertainment Tonight last week; ‘It’s likely Kelly will bring up Anderson’s name as a replacement’.
The win comes amid tension between the co-hosts, whose discord has been apparent to viewers since Strahan announced plans to accept a new job at Good Morning America. “While they will be civil on air, things are beyond fix”, says the source.
Strahan also thanked the show’s staff for their incredible hard work.
Hot couple Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa officially celebrated 20 happy years together, and are possibly taking the #RelationshipGoals crown for now. “After 26 years with this company, I earned the right”, she said.
They talked about the past in relation to their big Emmys victory.
Of course Ripa will have much input and ultimate approval over her new co-host.
