JJ Abrams on making, watching ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
Still, those who need a good seat for The Force Awakens, and those who actually want to see all these sneak peeks in theaters, will need to get in rather early on December 17 and December 18. Would you be so inclined to ask your buddy what he thinks of his ex-girlfriend’s new guy after their break-up didn’t go all that well?

Sure, when I watch the movies now, as an adult, it drives me insane when Leia tells Han she loves him – and he just says, “I know”. “But no one like George Lucas exists, and him seeing the movie was an important thing for me”. With The Force Awakens hitting theatres soon, kickstarting a whole new era, there’ll no doubt be more to come in the future.
ABRAMS: I was most surprised that the studio never said no. That’s incredible to me.
He explains it all with the help of some of the most adorable crochet Star Wars characters made by Pony McTate. So how does he feel about the new film now that he’s so completely divorced from it?
Perched in a small living room setup inside the cavernous Los Angeles Convention Center, this is the final stretch of Abrams’ journey to this galaxy far, far away and back again, which started almost three years ago. Participants at the chain’s South Lamar site will be invited to “enjoy” The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005), followed by the sweet space relief of Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). In fact, Mr. Binks won’t be much of anything anymore, as it was revealed this week that he will not be in Star Wars: Force Awakens.
Ford also believes that his involvement in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is “very important” because his character will not simply “show up just to wave at the crowd”. That was the moment I felt they were finally in control with (the release of) that second trailer. Because it already belonged to me, no matter what anyone else might think. “He’s geeking out, and then there’s Harrison Ford – he doesn’t care”.

“Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” is not set to have a post-credit scene that links it to Gareth Edward’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” in two reasons, according to Screen Rant. “I’ll reserve my final judgement of Disney’s treatment of “Star Wars” until after Rogue One”.
