With the crowd of 61,381 standing, there was a moment of silence for the victims in Paris and the people of France. Watt had a circle with the Eiffel tower on the top left side of his warmup shirt pregame….

Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer (7) throws against the Cincinnati Bengals in the first half of an NFL football game in Cincinnati, Monday, November 16, 2015.

The Bengals came into Monday night 8-0, a start unlike any in Cincinnati history. They were 10-point favorites over the struggling and hobbled Texans.

They were ranked 11th in the AFC before Monday’s victory over the Bengals and remain ranked 11th after their victory over the Bengals. The Bengals had to settle for three points on their third possession of the first half when a first-down reverse to Marvin Jones was blown up for an 8-yard loss deep in Texans territory. But as long as it’s been since the Bengals have lost, it’s been nearly twice as long since they’ve lost two straight.

Yates ended his first drive with a 22-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins, who made a one-handed catch for the game’s only touchdown.

Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton had another tough time against a Texans defense, going 21 of 37 for 187 yards with an interception and three sacks.

Dalton hit Green for 26 yards on the next play. Can you picture him rehearsing the RED RIFLE BB GUN line in front of the mirror? You drop one and I just start fighting it. You’ve got to forget about it, but it’s hard. “I asked him on the sideline and he just said, ‘Look, there’s just something a little off with me right now, ‘ and that’s not like him to be like that”. Said Dalton. “So I mean, it’s disappointing for one of the best players in this league to come out and say something like that”. Before the 2015 season, the Texans signed Moore to a three-year, $12 million deal to be the starting free safety. “Great play by him”. I gotta hold onto the ball. Green fumbled in a key situation, which isn’t a new scenario. Somebody’s going to make a play.

“We didn’t…And that’s on me”. “Those guys in that locker room understand what we can do”.

“We can’t let this loss turn into another one”. Those were good balls to me. “They’re two of the best players on the team, so they need to put it behind them”.

Dalton’s teammates echoed similar sentiment – none more colorfully than Adam “Pacman” Jones.

After the game, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, who’s never shy when the red light comes on, did a postgame interview with ESPN’s Lisa Saunders, and Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was in the crosshairs. Hopkins’ catch was just the latest of his aerial show as he has made a habit of spectacular leaping grabs and once caught a pass off his helmet earlier this year.

J.J. Watt and the Texans ruin the Bengals bid for an undefeated season and have the Jets next on tap
