JK Rowling Accused of Using ‘Troll’ Characters in ‘Harry Potter’
1986? Wait, you didn’t think we were talking about THAT Harry Potter did you?

The new animated feature, due out in 2017, will revisit the world of wizardry originally created in the 1986 film, in which a wicked troll wizard plots to take over the world.
Now, 30 years later, Troll is getting an animated sequel, as well as an animated series. Filmmakers, John Buechler and Peter Davy, claim that J.K. Rowling pouched her ideas from the 1986 cult classic “Troll“.
“We are already in pre-production”.
They are only coming out about it now because “Troll: The Rise of Harry Potter Jr.” is being scheduled to be a new animated remake of the film. “We have the financing in place and a strong global distributor”.
Yes, the Harry Potter who appeared on film (he’s Harry Potter, Jr., which means his father, Harry Potter, Sr. also predates Rowling’s work) hit screens 11 years before Hogwarts opened for business. Here’s a 17-year-old who spends much of the book wallowing in the most unheroic of sentiments: resentment, suspicion, paranoia, self-pity and anger, but not of the outraged, impassioned kind that you might think a death-wielding Nazi would inspire.
“Troll” was a B-rated movie that came out a good decade before Rowling first published a “Harry Potter” novel. However, if we’re being honest, the whole thing is just to capitalize on the name “Harry Potter” which they did use first, but not as successfully as Rowling did. Troll: The Movie LLC is not affiliated with J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros nor has this motion picture been endorsed or authorized by J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros.

The candies and Treats tour is open until September 6, but for now you can test your Harry Potter prop knowledge from the comfort of your home/train/park/walk along the high street.
