In the trailer when Newt Scamander is heading through customs he sets his briefcase to the “muggle worthy” setting, ensuring that his magic is kept from muggle eyes.
We also get a reference to Albus Dumbledore in the trailer, when the voiceover states, “One of your teachers argued strongly against your expulsion, I wonder, what makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you, Mr. Scamander”. It is now his job to hunt them down and capture them before they destroy the city.
In the Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts is a textbook studied by Harry Potter and his classmates at Hogwarts.
Directed by David Yates who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” films, the spinoff also stars Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller and Ron Perlman. Harry Potter fans would be happy to return to the wizarding world, which was put to an end after the 8 part series concluded.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be a trilogy, so we can probably start fantasy casting the young Dumbledore now. And we defy you not to be roused by that unmistakable signature score that punctuated each of the eight original Potter movies.
