JK Rowling Says Harry Potter’s Story is Over

“I’ve always wanted to know what happens to Harry in the future and not everyone can travel to London to see the play, so the book is the next best option”, said one anxious fan. Author J.K. Rowling has confirmed (or “confirmed”, in air quotes, as I’m gonna put it) that the story of our beloved Boy Who Lived has come to an end.

“[The play] chimed perfectly with the material I had about the next generation and I could see it would work perfectly”, said Rowling.

The book is not written like JK Rowling’s other seven novels, but is instead written in play script form by two playwrights, with input from Rowling herself.

After all, there’s been a nine-year gap between the seventh Harry Potter book and the “Cursed Child” play.

As for Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff opened up to E! stating that going to the play would make him “feel weird”.

The book on the library’s shelves is not a novel but the script from the stage production.

“It’s been more than what we were expecting which we were very very happy with”, Gibson’s event coordinator, Elisabeth Jewell said.

Rowling also has also been known to give insight into the Harry Potter story through her Twitter page and Pottermore website. Tickets to the play are sold out through May 2017, but will have new tickets to be sold starting August 4 for performances through to December 10, 2017.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth installment in the series and picks up life 19 years later featuring Potter as a 37-year-old employee of the Ministry of Magic and father of three.

So until model-turned-actor Eddie Redmayne takes over the series” spinoff flick “Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them’ on November 18, we’ll be under the covers clutching our books.

But the Harry Potter so many of us grew up with, the star-crossed kid who would be chased by a murderous evil wizard every final term of his school year, is never coming back.
