JKNPP to boycott talks with all-party delegation
Before leaving for talks with the separatists, Yechury told ANI that the situation is very serious compared to 2008 and 2010. “Certainly we do not have the ability to communicate our view in less than a minute”, Chrungoo said, adding that “it means that governments at the Centre and in the state do not want anything worth while to be communicated to the delegation”. “This movement isn’t there to defend these vague terms like Kashmiriyat but it is for safeguarding the dignity of lakhs of Kashmiris who want nothing but end to the illegal occupation”, she added.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the side of the separatists.
Divulging detail of the meeting in Jammu, the Home Minister said, “As many as 200 people comprising 18 delegations interacted with the all-party delegation”.
Further Singh is also likely to raise the issue of the separatists.
The 26-member delegation is visiting to Jammu in the afternoon to hold talks there with stakeholders.
The MPs then went to meet Abdul Ghani Butt and Shabbir Ahmed Shah but in vain. “We have taken everyone’s view and cooperation to improve the situation in Kashmir in the delegation-level talks”.
The snub came after All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) chief Ali Geelani, Awami Action Committee (AAC) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yaseen Malik had collectively turned down an invitation of talks from Indian-controlled Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Despite killings and injuries of war-proportions she continues to perform shamelessly this role of obfuscation. She also conveyed a message to those raising “pro-azadi” slogans that they should see the condition of Muslims in Islamic countries like Pakistan, Syria, Turkey and Afghanistan even though these nations have “freedom”.
The Home Ministry’s tough stand came apparently after the nod from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is said to have conveyed that time has come to act tough with the separatists, sources said. Earlier, she refused to talk to reporters at the venue of the meeting.
The delegation was made aware of the prevailing situation in the state and contours of the tour during which they will hold talks with a cross-section of people. Expressing “particular concern” about the present conditions of violence, the letter clarifies, “We are calling not only for the resumption of basic civil services, the rule of law, and the restoration of human rights in Kashmir, but, most importantly, for an internationally mediated political solution”.

Kashmir has been crippled by unrest for the last 59 days, with prolonged curfew amid violent protests and clashes in which over 74 people have died and almost 10,000 have been injured.
