The Portugal global, one of the star performers in their triumphant Euro 2016 campaign, arrived in Milan on Friday to seal his move, along with Brazil striker Gabriel Barbosa.

Having won two Brazilian top flight titles with Santos, Gabriel made his full worldwide debut on May 29.

“Gabigol is an Inter player”.

However, Inter have finally been the winners of the saga after the Italians clubs have confirmed his arrival from Santos in a five-year-deal. According to the report, the Italian club increased their proposal again, on Friday, to €29.5 million.

The Stamford Bridge side has been linked with a move for the South American attacker in recent times, with talk that “Gabigol” could end up in England.

Gabriel, known as Gabigol, spent four years with Santos, helping them to two league titles by scoring 56 goals.

Barbosa was part of the Brazilian side that claimed Olympic gold medal glory on home soil earlier this month, while 23-year-old Mario was a member of Portugal’s Euro 2016-winning squad last month. Inter forward Stevan Jovetic meanwhile is reported to be on his way out of the San Siro club, and their Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic may soon follow.
