Jodie Foster gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Jodie will travel Down Under on May 30 to attend the world premiere of Money Monster, which stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Foster who entered Hollywood as a child is known for her roles in “Taxi Driver”, “Freaky Friday”, “The Accused”, “The Silence of the Lambs”, “Contact and Panic Room“.
The two-time Oscar victor who has been acting since she was just three years old, was honoured by her Panic Room co-star Kristen Stewart during the unveiling ceremony in Los Angeles on Wednesday 4 May.
When the ceremony of finished, People magazine interviewed her about her childhood and what it was like being surrounded by movie iconography, and what the award meant to her.
Foster paid tribute to her mother, Evelyn, who suffers from dementia and was unable to attend the ceremony.
She explained in her speech, “I made this conscious decision that I didnt want to have a star on Hollywood Boulevard unless it was in a conjunction with a movie I was directing”.
She told Variety: “I grew up blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and would cross it every single day of my life”.
“Jodie’s much cooler than me but it’s so awesome when you find your people, the ones outside your family, that feed you in this affirming and motivating way”.
“I’m always amazed ” you can be sort of blase, and then you come back and get excited about something and discover it all again.
“Calling Foster her “first adult friend”, Stewart went on praising the “The Beaver” director, “There’s nothing self-serving about her”.
“She’s a baller on every level”. She did everything so young.
“She should have had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when she was 10”. She kicked Yale’s [expletive].

After winning two Oscars and amassing a catalogue of critically acclaimed performances, Foster has had previous opportunities to have her name inscribed on the walkway.
