Joe Biden and ‘Rocky’ Win Democratic Convention Battle of the Intro Music
Joe Biden tore through Donald Trump in a blistering speech to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Wednesday that fired up the crowd of delegates.

Entering the hall to the theme from “Rocky” and a prolonged standing ovation, he hailed President Barack Obama as “the embodiment of honor, resolve and character, one of the finest presidents we have ever had”.
As for the historic precedence of electing a woman president, Biden said: “We all understand what it’ll mean for our daughters and granddaughters when Hillary Clinton walks into the Oval Office as president of the United States of America”.
Obama said his former secretary of state is a better qualified candidate than even he or her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was on hand for the third day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
“Donald Trump, with all his rhetoric, would literally make us less safe”, Biden said.
But shortly after Trump’s comments, his running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, took a different stance and warned of “serious consequences” if Russian Federation interfered in the election.
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”, Trump told reporters in Miami on Wednesday. Everybody knows she is tough. “I know Hillary”, Biden said.
“You can not believe one word that comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth”.
And he got the crowd to chant a new catchphrase about Trump: “Not a clue”. “But Hillary’s been in the room”.
As he announced Delaware’s votes for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton Tuesday night, Delaware Congressman John Carney proudly declared Biden “our favorite son and our beloved Vice President”. “We never break when confronted with crisis”, he said.
“He has no clue about what makes America great”, Biden roared. “Tonight I’m announcing a new national effort to get it done”, the president said.
The emails made clear that the committee repeatedly lied when it said it did not work to help Clinton defeat Sanders in the primaries.
Now, at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night, the president returned the favor – arguing that Trump’s values were fundamentally un-American, and that his candidacy was a unique threat to democracy in the United States.
“Hi slack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in the phrase I suspect he’s most proud of having made famous”, Biden said.
In his final months as the American leader, Obama is particularly aware of his legacy and knows that Clinton, a kindred politico with similar views on fighting terrorism, immigration, health care, abortion, gay rights and climate change, would leave many of his policies in place, while Trump has pledged to nearly immediately undo them.
“I am a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one”.
