Carney wanted to know that Biden would be “comfortable” with him running.

“I can not imagine anybody being more of an outsider than the first woman president“, Clinton said.
But even as he hedges publicly about making a decision, Biden has road-tested his message at an official White House events-sending a different signal than his quieter moments might suggest.
The letter – whose signatories include some top bundlers for President Obama’s campaigns – underscores a nervousness among some in the party about Clinton’s standing and a building hope that Biden will decide to run. A Biden run may serve to cast doubt about Hillary Clinton’s viability, and could siphon votes from both Mrs. Clinton and Vermont Sen. Without the highly regarded vice president mounting a third bid for the presidency, Clinton’s numbers would rise by 15 percentage points, while Sanders would gain only 4 percent points. And Sanders’ success doesn’t necessarily mean that Clinton is a weak candidate-only that Sanders has expanded his base of support. Because he wants to?
Increased odds seen for shutdown: Federal budget-watcher Stan Collender has raised his chances for a government shutdown on October. 1. These aren’t compelling reasons for anyone to run for president, especially not a sitting vice president.
But she may have more company in the race than expected. Marco Rubio of Florida wants to bring his conservative immigrant bootstrap story to the White House.
In August, Biden appointed a former presidential campaign spokesperson, Kate Bedingfield as his Communications Director, a move that caused many to speculate that he would soon announce his candidacy. His “Uncle Joe” persona is a recent phenomenon.
As LifeNews previously reported, in 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama told Reverend Rick Warren of Saddleback Church that the question of when life begins was above his pay grade.
For his part, Biden has not committed one way or another. Obviously, that persona didn’t win him the election, but it’s hard to imagine that his current wacky-neighbor/goofy-uncle image will work, either.
“The Obama-Biden administration has been a spectacular success”.
His aides and advisers say this is another sign that Biden is undecided about a run and not leaning one way or the other.
An outside group of supporters of the vice president called Draft Biden 2016 has been preparing the groundwork for a potential Biden run, including setting up infrastructure in key states. “It’s just nuts. There’s no way that anyone can take that seriously”.

Drawing the decision out to November has risks, they know: It’s a gamble between whether she’ll implode (perhaps under indictment over her personal email server), whether he could wait so long that she’d rebound (perhaps fueled by strong performances at the debate or in congressional testimony on October. 22).
