THE SKY Blues have made one of their biggest transfer scoops in recent years after signing England global Joe Cole on a short term loan deal.
Sky Bet League One side Coventry City are set to pull of an sensational loan deal for an ex-England global, reports the Coventry Telegraph.
“I’m delighted to welcome such a high-calibre player to the club”, he told the club’s official website.
The move is quite remarkable considering the ex-Chelsea player has played in the Premier League all of his career, and it is also surprising that given Villa’s recent struggles that he hasn’t been given more of a go at Villa Park.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Joe in action for the Sky Blues”.
“We’ve got plenty of games coming up which will be crucial to us maintaining our early-season form, and I’m looking forward to seeing Joe in action”. He’s played once this year, too, appearing in the Capital One Cup against Notts County where he got an assist. “He likes the way we play and has shown a real enthusiasm to come”.
And he has not been able to hold down a place in the first team since.

And presumably no-one is finding it harder to understand than the ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who said back in 2010 that Cole was better than Lionel Messi.
