Joe Hart’s options narrow as Everton say they don’t want him
Bravo said in a release: “I’m very proud to be joining Manchester City”.

Hart endured a hard Euro 2016 as he made a series of costly errors amid a disastrous finals campaign for England, and a lack of club action will do little to enhance his chances of persuading Roy Hodgson’s successor Sam Allardyce that he is still the man for the job. Sevilla’s reported enthusiasm has also cooled, leaving Hart with few options.
Barcelona had been expected to part ways with Bravo since its sports director said on Saturday it had a “deal in principle” with City.
Asked what the future held for him, Hart told BT Sport: “It’s not for me to say”.
The 2016/17 arrival of Pep Guardiola in Manchester has however put a kink in Hart’s plans.
“So if Joe, Willy and Angus stay then it won’t be the same one who is always on the bench”.
Guardiola has signed nine players during his short City tenure, including John Stones, Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus.
Clubs from overseas who have been linked with the 29-year-old, who has two Premier League winner’s medals, include Sevilla in Spain and Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
“I can not deny this was special for me”, said Guardiola. “I am so happy with the squad”. I grew up in Catalonia.
“I have followed City’s progress in recent years and obviously know some of my new teammates from the Copa America”.
Joe did a lot with this club in the years he’s been here, more than I have done.
“I was lucky to have under my command Chilean players like Alexis Sanchez (at Barca) and Arturo Vidal (at Bayern Muncih) before, and now Claudio Bravo. The emotion is there”.
Guardiola was unsure if Bravo would receive a good reception from the City fans.
With Vincent Kompany injured and Eliaquim Mangala out of favour, the Serbia left-back has been pressed into action in the middle.
“It is not easy to leave a club like Barcelona where I had two fantastic years, but the opportunity to work with Pep Guardiola was too good to refuse”, he added.

“He’s strong in the air, his passes through the lines in the build-up, his long passes to the right wingers… he has everything to play in that position”.
